Eh, Reign In Blood really doesn't do all THAT much for me...I love it, but it's not on the same musical level as Puppets, Rust, Years of Decay, etc. Too monotonous, and the solos are lame...well, Hanneman's are listenable, King's absolutely suck shit. Bonded By Blood is fucking incredible, but I still think Metallica accomplished more and enjoy listening to them more overall.

By the way, if you wanna get specific, the first thrash metal release was Overkill's 1981 "Power In Black" demo.
