A Question For Metaltastic

I recall reading a post of yours where you mentioned having 2 EMG 81s (one on bridge and another on neck) instead of the usual 81/85 combo.
I'm planning on replacing the factory pickups in my Schecter Omen 6 (yuck, I know) with the EMGhz passive versions of 81/85 and I was wondering if there was a particular reason you chose to install dual 81s instead of the additional 85 and why. I have my own theory as to why it would be beneficial to use the dual 81s (or in my case dual H4s I believe) but I'm curious to know your reasoning for it. I read in another thread somewhere that we're all Metal Brothers so I will automatically assume you will take the time to answer this thread because we both listen to teh hevy meatlz muzakz.

This. Especially depending on the wood used. My hellraiser is mahogany body and neck, and I find the 85 at the neck to be just too dark and muddy. I'll eventually replace it with another 81.
