A real Indie mace;)

love the vibe!
wathc those wrong triggered notes ;-) they reveal the samples , hehe.
the drums have a massive low end, maybe alittttle too much.
would love the vocals to come up, because all the nuances in his singing get a little lost in the beginning.

like it! more music like this on this board! ;-)

First: Thanks for the comment, cool that you've enjoyed it:wave:

Do you mean the toms?
If so, I've quantized the drums and "pretriggered" it and he told me that he kinda lays down the stick and that should be audible...
If it's something else PLEASE tell me.

It's the first time I added(or leave) the "oohhmmmppp" in the drums, maybe I've overdone that, thx for pointing it out.

The problem with his singing is that it's hardly "melodyned" and if I raise the volume it get's audible pretty obviously. I'll try to bring it up a tad.

Thanks a lot.

i mean the snare in the beginning, somehow sounds unnatural to my ears (like if the kick triggered the snare in some places... or is that a gate opening? cant tell...)
what do you mean with pretriggered?

Gotcha, now I hear it too. Maybe it's the stereo Verb from the Toms that craps up the Snare in the center...
I'll take a closer look at it and try to separate it more.

I've quantized the whole album for the dudes, but the kit was the crappiest thing I've ever seen in the studio(even in my whole life), so I worked with the triggers from the start. Then the drummer chimed in and listened to all of the songs, at this moment I had the kit "pretriggered"(rough), was just to clarify if I picked up all hits correctly...
Hope this makes sense;)

Yup, just thrown FG:X in the Mix-project on the 2:buss and be done with that. Will def take care of those clipping here and there.

I'll try that reverb idea!

THX

Actually everything dcb said from me aswell. The low end is eating up crucial elements of space from middle that's important for indie. The fart in guitars and the retard presence could come up more. Sorry for the metaphors but that's just me. Like the song very much! :)

Haha, yeah:lol:

Thought the same but actually working there is a complete different thing, the shop morale(atleast at my agency) is so cool and pretty much all the co-workers are dudes.
And it's cool to know what you get at the end of the month.
But sadly it's over now(atleast for january), I hope to get a new job there in february...

Broke again:(
