Hey fellas!

Here is a re-recorded, remixed version of our number 1 popsong hit "Burn Bright, Wry Jackal".. Any last details you would add, alter or delete?

This is basically the main mix for our debut album, but details are always welcome!

EDIT: Here are the raw files and stems, mix away fellow Sneapsters: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/546041/TGM - Burn Bright Raw Files.rar

Guitars sound great, but I think I liked the kick and snare from the original recording better - seemed more in your face than these do. Did you re-track vocals too? Or is that the same vocal take?

The guitars are much better than before I think, much easier to hear what's being played. Although I'm just listening on shitty hifi speakers atm. Not digging the drum hit at 3:43 tho, I think a snare hit is needed there.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback so far guys!

- Morgan good point on that hit mang, easy to fix for me and shall give that a try!
- Roy, im sure i'll up the volume of the drums in the final mix a bit.. not going back to superior 1 though ;)
- Deadstar, i think i have to agree with you.. having listened to the tracks on a few different speakers i think the guitars need less presence to give room to Trevor and the drummer.

Cheers!

Johnwormwood: I had black neon bob as my username since.. 2000 or so? But now it's toxic grind machine, wanted a change ;)

Revson: Cheers my man.. The guitar chain was basically my beloved gibson explorer gothic (it cuts itself) into the POD XT, into the RME fireface without any effects on it post recording.
I did use some EQ to filter out unwanted low and high end offcourse.

Agree with Morgan and Deadstar on the mix. This song along with Hymnlock and Amphetamines in Ghost City are easily my favorite TGM songs. Can't wait for the album. Care to share the tracklist yet?

okay, raw files coming soon! God, i hate the thought of exporting the synths allready.. haha, but i'll throw em in as stems.

JR, tracklist is not set yet.. but im thinking about opening up with Amphetamines in Ghost City, just something about starting a album with a vocoder voice singing "every living creature.. in this world.. dies alone".
Plus it will be a album that flows songs into songs like it's one huge song.. sort of a session album if you will, but with clear seperate tracks.. you'll see!

Okay, can someone give the download a try and let me know if it works? I have it working on my PCs, but some others may have problems with it.

Let me know!
