A remixed, re-recorded Toxic Grind Machine song.(Stems a Raw files inside)

I would love to hear TGM with reamped guitars. The POD guitars have loads of gain (too much) and i think reamping the DI's trough an good tubeamp with a big grit would clean up the mix and make some room for the vocals.

Love all the TGM stuff!!:hotjump:

@Robert. Did you record the DI's? I would be happy to run them trough my Pre500 Rectifier. Also have a Mesa recto 4x12 cab (standard with V30's) now.

Yes, i'll send the DI's to you first, my go to re-amp guy! :worship:

Prefer a song you would want to re-amp Tom?

I'll upload a tempo track today, i'll give the MIDI file another go as well..

The tempo track is indeed 121 deadstar, but after the breakdown it goes to 126 and slows down to 117 or so.

Nice track. Was fun to work with!
I'm still very much a noob, but heres my shot at it.

I couldnt figure the midi drums out for some reason, so I had to work with the track that came with it.
I would also like the guitar DIs to reamp. The guitar tracks were a bit annoying to work with at some points.

Let me know what you think and how I can improve.
Cheers!

Sounds cool Spite! Wish i could give you some decent feedback, but after mixing 4 hours straight im afraid my ears can't decide anymore. ;)

Maybe it could use some low end? end less cymbals, they sound quite loud? i dunno, going to rest them ears for now and give it another go tomorrow!

btw, tempo track:

Im going to need you to go ahead and see if this works mmkay? (movie reference!).

Ah, that low end. I'm mixing with headphones, but I'll try to get it right.
I dont think I'm using the correct software to handle that tempo track, or perhaps I just lack the knowledge, but I managed to get some of it right in the end.
At the end I kind of couldnt get it to do what I wanted, but it's close enough for now.
I find my self really liking my kick, but I've got a feeling that its too much in-your-face in this mix.
My ears are beat to shit and I'm tired, but I'll leave you with this.
Any critique and pointers is appreciated as always. :)

Cool mixes guys!

Spite: The mix seems a bit bright and crushing, cool kick indeed!

Hollowman: Did the tempotrack work for you?

I'll try not to spam your thread anymore, but I did some work on it tonight and had a lot of fun doing so.
I rearranged a few things and modified the drums a bit to make it closer to the original (which by the way kicks ass!)
Played around with automation, made it less "crushing" and cut out some unwanted frequencies.
Anyway, it's been loads of fun doing. :)

Edit: Redid the mastering. More low end now.
