A Sound Test (would love some suggestion)

Hello everyone!.
my first post here

Just wanted to share alittle clip and get some feedback and suggestions about the sound.

I have only been doing home recording for about a year so I have still much to learn before I can do some good mixes.

This clip is just a couple of riffs I did to test the sound. once im happy with it I have 5-6 songs to record this time (I like to get a good sound going before I start recording my real stuff).

The guitar is Amplitube 2 with impulse cab.

Drums are EZdrummer. cymbals,hihat and toms are from the DFH kit. The snare is from the pop/rock kit and the kick is andy sneap's sample replaced with drumagog.

Bass is direct.

im looking forward to what you guys have to say about it.
what I want the most with my mixes is to be able to get LOUD punchy drums. but I guess im still 10-20 years away from having the knowledge to do that :zombie:
oh well, I will just keep tweaking those knobs!!

to get a punchy drumkit really depends on what you boosted frequency wise.
maybe you can cut some mids from the snare, so this way you remove the boxy kind of snare.
Adding a little bit of reverb helps to get it "wet" and powerful
