A friend of mine is in the same situation, but he cops it from the boss too. The customers he has to deal with are often impatient and rude, and the staff offer no support at all.

What really gets up his nose is the amount of time he wastes doing this job instead of developing his considerable art skills and using them to create comic books with yours truly. If he quits, Centrelink'll breach him and then he'll *really* be in strife.

What's my point? I don't know either :). I guess you could make things easier by asking for a transfer to a department that sells something you're interested in or know a lot about. Just an idea...
