About to eat some Chik-Fil-A

I grew up in southern Colorado. I prefer their Mexican food to Tex-Mex but the latter's quality varies around the state. Mexican food in Dallas is garbage. Down in South Texas is golden.

And green chili is life.
My advisor is from mexico, so he always hired a fuckload of mexicans, and their mexican food was so great.

I think it's the lack of acid in american mexican food that makes it less good. Beef + chile + oranges/limes is the fucking best.

dude

DUUUUUUDE. It's chile, flour, chicken stock, garlic. How can you hate it?

Easy. Its fucking nasty. I had two mexican girls that worked for me in albuquerque. Both were originally from El Paso. They would always tell me how nasty new mexico mexican food was.

I remember ordering a big breakfast burrito from some place and they ask "green or red?" I told them neither and they looked at me like i insulted them. Yeah mofo dont ruin my burrito with that shit.

The red wasnt horrible but it was not hot at all.

this is so fucking dumb.

1. new mexican mexican food is just american mexican food with chile gravy on top, and some of the fancier places its not even gravy it's just chile and stock. What's your fucking point about two people not liking it? i can name a bunch mexicans that like it.
2. No one fucking cares if you don't get chile on your food. I lived there for 4 years and my wife hates chile and she never got it. She never had anyone shit on her. Stop being a fucking douche.
3. are you fucking kidding me? It's a fucking hatch chile. It's about the spiciness of a jalapeno, why does it matter how spicy it is?

Mexican food and barbecue are two very touchy food subjects across the lower half of the US. Almost as bad as politics.

Chik Fil A still sucks.
aint that the truth.

I'm on the texas bbq train. That shit is just amazing down there.

There are some good independent Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in the Dallas area. The local "gem" El Fenix has never impressed me, though. Cool decor, bland food.

As awful as it is/was, I still crave Pancho's Mexican Buffet from time to time. Dunno if any of my fellow Texans ever "raised the flag," but mmmm I could go for some hot sopaipillas.

I reside in Dallas occasionally. We've gone to several local Mexican restaurants and they were mostly bad. Do you know any hole in the wall places that are good (not chains)?

You may be on to something.

Man, I respect your musical taste but this is just crazy talk. I buy packages of roasted green chiles and green chili spice to bring back to Texas every summer when we leave Colorado...and this is after we ate green chili on everything every.single.day.

it's a cool place. I'll take a smack

Man I hate Houston so much. I lived nearby for 5 years and I still go back all the time.
