OK Fine. I'm not gonna defend New Mexico because we don't like them anyway, but Colorado green chili pwns your soul.

@swizzlenuts Did you ever eat at Blake's Lotaburger?
of course i ate at blakes. It's a fine burrito/burger, but cmon. These fucks are like a European coming to the US and saying the best burger is at McDonalds, therefore american burgers sucks

the chile's from colorado are weak compared to new mexico, what are you on?

You guys are insane. You think there aren't actual Mexicans FROM MEXICO that live right here in Providence that have bomb restaurants and shacks?

LOL @ "have you ever tasted a chile?" Seriously?

Eh, there's a friendly rivalry so I keed. Really there's not a great deal of difference where I lived. The San Luis Valley was essentially an extension of Taos in the 1850s and the Hispanic population there is quite insular. I think that's one of the reasons the food there is so good (and a reason why I don't think anyone who hasn't been there can really judge). Things there have been affected very little by outsiders (especially the food). In that regard in may have a leg up on some urban areas in New Mexico.

I know the folks up in Pueblo think they have great green chile (that's what's mostly known as "Colorado Green Chile") but ehhh. I'm not from the part of Colorado that anyone thinks about when they think about Colorado.

The problem is that Mexicans from Mexico don't make the same kind of Mexican food as Mexicans in the Southwest. This is not even to mention regional varieties both in Mexico and throughout the Southwest. Unless those folks moved from Colorado/New Mexico and opened a restaurant in New England that is specifically New Mexican then we aren't really talking about the same thing.

Well, if that's so, then okay. I'm referring to authentic Mexican cuisine.
