Absolute Favorite Opeth Riff

Probably the riff(s) at the end of "Advent" during this verse...

"Time grows short
As the piper plays his tune
We are almost there

You are beyond all help
Dancing into the void
We are almost there"

Awesome, as are all the riffs on that album IMO.

First one that comes to mind is the long, slow one during the quiet section in Forest of October. The one that starts with the electric and the beautiful acoustic plays around it. Also the "Russian Riff" in the Drapery Falls is a close second.

edit: made a little error

The Forest of October riff is a good one, I really like the groove-oriented one in 'The Leper Affinity' I think it starts about 2:10. Very good head banging material! :headbang:

Mine is battle between the ending riff of Karma, ending riff of Face of Melinda and the 3rd riff to funeral portrait (2nd if you dont include the clean intro).

i change my favorite. Mines the ending to leper affinity (before the piano)
