I sadly dont think Anthrax with Belladonna will gonna smoke everyone at Ozzfest so it could actually score them a better record deal in the future. Because, 1990 is over and even with Joey, who was the singer in their bigest years, can't bring an entire crowd of young people to love and buy Anthrax records and tickets. But, with John, who was the singer in their bigest creative and talented years, they can keep a good reputation and continue to put out great album, great show and they can continue to record and put out some good musics who will be up to date and not old and past with a singer and a voice who was not representative of who Anthrax is now in 2005. They have nothing to gain with that move. John was better than Joey. :hotjump:

The band released a fucking excellent studio album in We've Come For You All; the best I've heard by any band for years. Completed an enjoyable and successful world tour; gaining many new fans along the way. Recorded an awesome DVD and live album. Rerecorded an album of the Joey era 'classics' - and have generally be regaining respect within the metal community.
Why the fucking change of direction?

anthrax has such a bad reputation online for the most parts thanks to various comments that get posted over to rumermouth that we are in denial to say that all of a sudden they will get huge whether they are with joey or john. i forsee them gaining some fans here and there just based on people like us burning comps to hand to friends or friends of friends.



you don't give people credit to appreciating anthrax's older style with joey. There wouldn't be as much interest in Judas priest if there wasn't. there are bands like the darkness(whether it is a joke or not) that are gaining tons of fans old and new.


If anthrax, which ever lineup it is, goes out there and puts forth a smokin set(minus I am the man, got the time, and bring the noise ) people will enjoy the set

How dare you say I'm not a true fan just because I happen to dislike Joey Belladonna's dated, off-key voice. Some hardcore fans ALWAYS hated his voice. A lot of us hate Joey because he fucked us over in 1998. He's an asshole. And yet they are giving him a second chance to rejoin? He doesn't deserve it. He fucked up in 1992, and he fucked up in 1998. And his "talent" wasn't a big deal to begin with. It was a cheesy, dated schtick.

Us "true fans"...we think they made the right choice in 1993, and their music got better because of it. We love the old shit, but it's even better with John singing, hands down. Why the fuck else did they record The Greater Of Two Evils?
Also, The Sound Of White Noise sold better than any of the previous records.

Folks I got to tell ya. I am kind of impartial. I love joey and johns styles. Not in a gay way like BLV (just kiddin ya fuck). But I agree with alot of ya. Timmy, M. Bello, Sean, Mr Thrax. As much as I want to see Joey rock out with the guys on the classics. Weve come for you all, is a classic in its own right. as far as I am concerned JOHN BUSH is the singer for ANTHRAX. If Joey comes back and they just flat out dump John and Rob I'm done with these guys. If Bush leaves on his own acord, cause of the new family thats fine. Good luck, god bless. a true fan is a fan who stands to his fav band!
it doesnt not depends on what singer they have, anthrax is still anthrax, i started 86 in the age of 10 to listen to them, i was not a fan of joeys voice but the music was great! now they are my fav band, and if its true they give all the younger ones a great chance to see them in their most popular situation.
if they do it for the money, why not? do we not all out and work for money and try everything to get get payed better?

I think the only member of Anthrax I ever saw wearing spandex was Scott on an old photograph shown at the homepage of Neil Turbin - the band was posing at the studio where Fistful of Metal was recorded and he was wearing those crazy black-and-red pants ... but it could have been leather as well.
