Who can achieve the best scream?how and what technique are they using?some people are saying the inhalation technique is ultimate way, but, which vocalists use this technique on stage?

inhales are definately NOT the best technique they are quiet and cant be manipulated as well as exhales. they are alright when used a little along with exhales but generaly they are disliked.

i think the ultimate is a combination of deep gutteral growls
and high shreiky growls.

I can get the really gutteral deep growls which seems to make my whole chest vibrate but i'm feeling trapped an limited to growls.i really really like the vocalist of bleeding throughs screams, even As i Lay Dying,i wouldn't say its a emo scream but i'd definately like to cover the entire spectrum.also I.ve heard your scream can be at voice level but to me when i watch live dvds i really doubt these bands are screaming at voice level.even corey taylor,in the disasterpieces dvd he seems to belt out screams.

I dont really like the inhilation technique. I prefer growly vocals (Jari Maenpaa), and i also think shoutier vocals (Warlord Nygard) are also great.. and Death Metal growls are awesome too (Dallas Toller Wade).

But i dont like inhilation.. it starts to sound too screamo-ish.

for some reason the volume on your bands myspace is so low i can only hear stight fuzz(little guitar) when i turn up my volume all the way.

It was taking from a practice video and converted into an MP3
Tues we will have a better version of that song and our second song up. We are reharsing for our first show coming up in July
we are actually in the writing process and rehersing for the show being that we have only been together for like a month now.
We will have video posted of that show and hopefully 3 to 4 songs posted in the next 3 weeks and they will be better recordings since we are starting to get the equipment together to do a simi-pro recording. Our show will be recorded and mastered professionaly so we might just put that up instead. Just keep checking back the recordings will get better and the songs each one better than the last so far.

so what do you people think of corey taylors scream?i can sing a whole song in a demonic growl but as i,ve said a million times,i wanna get my scream to Bleeding Through style,i just dont know what to do to achieve it,also Devildrivers vocalist is sick to!

I sing the lowest note I can and do it as loud as possible and force it from the back of my throat, Its a medium low growl but you can still understand what I am saying

singing in a low growl is easy, but for example i,m almost sure the band Scar symmetry are using studio effects cos his growl sounds unnatural,my growl comes from below my throat unless i change pitch in which case its more from my throat, only problem with this is it starts to kill my throat.

My advice quit trying to sound like everyone else experiment with the differant ranges and find your own voice.

and I HATE Corey Taylor he is a good sing/screamer but I fucking hate him as a person he is the epitamy of a sell-out

We have a new song posted go check it out!!
Alot better quality than before
The first song is also updated in better sounding quality.
SO GO CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand this was a live recording so ill cut you
some slack.Well as far as vocals good highs and ok mids and lows, guitars are a little plain but thats defeinately understandable for a starting band, didnt care too much for the drums at the begining of the first song but besides that they're good. all around a good sound and if recorded better id prolly be much more inpressed. how long you been together and writing?
What technique do you use for vocals?

Been together for a month now we are writing and rehearsing for our first show coming up on Fri the 13th in July.
Vocal Technics?? Um its all about breathing and projecting
my lows are the "dump" technic as taught by Mellissa Cross
my mids Im just now really starting to use them and working on holding as long as i do on my highs but they take more air than my highs to achive so its a little difficult to hold them that long the Highs I dont know really how I do them I just take everything I learned from Mellissa Cross' DVD and apply them, but they are getting better and better everyday like if you listen to "Blood Filled Lungs" the end break down I hold the longest scream I have ever done now its only like 18 sec long but it seems alot longer when the pressure inside your skull is building and it feels like your skull is going to split down the middle. Thats one downfall for me doing my highs however I do them it takes so much pressure and force to do them Im likely to give myself and anerysum. Also we have now bass player in these tracks we have a fill in just for our up coming show but thats it we dont have a full time bass player and we are looking for a 2nd guitarist as well.
