Acoustic Guitar Mixing

Storyteller, that clip is amazing. 
I think I will probably end up mic'ing the acoustic for a take in both channels. I don't know if I could pull off 4 takes. Although I could always send in a direct input through the acoustic and have it record with the microphone as well, and have 2 takes per side. My microphone is a bit too big to aim at the 12th fret really, its a Blue Snowball, and it's a big sphere. I'll have to experiment with where the best sound comes from with something like that.... I was never able to get a good direct-input sound when running the acoustic sound through the computer... It was always too clicky, or too scratchy, and never had any body at all to the sound.
If I were to try to do 4 takes, recorded through the microphone, and have them all line up perfectly... that might take a very long time, and several days just for one song, eh?
