I've been trying to record my amazing new acoustic thru my PODxt (only means I have...no mics/preamps/etc)...but I really cant seem to do it justice. It just ends up sounding like a clean guitar. The guitar is built from a Martin do-it-yourself kit that my grandpa (who is a luthier) modified and built. It has a Fishman Prefix preamp that came out of a high end Taylor installed in it.

I've tried lots of different amp model/speaker combinations. I've tried it with no amp model, tube preamp model. But I cant seem to achieve that pristine acoustic sound. I know micing it would be the best way to go, but I've heard some acoustic clips recorded with the PODxt that sound DAMN good. So if you guys have any tips/settings/patches you could give me I'd greatly appreciate it

Hmm, I just use the tube preamp model if I'm going direct from my acoustic electric. I'm interested if there's a 'good' or 'better' method using the XT.
