I was talking with a friend last night and we were discussing Adagio and how we'd love to see them back at PP again.

This time, Gus will have much more expericence under his belt and won't have to live up to Drainman anymore. He'll have his own voice and own stage.

We were discussing on how much we'd love to see them back again to see how much they've grown as a band.

What do you all think?

Adagio for Showcase or PPIX?

Adagio was a band that kinda went unnoticed by me for a while but that all changed a few months ago. When I first heard one of their tunes it blew me away. I am actually just getting their newest release "Dominate", I ordered it about a week ago so it should be here any day now. Anybody know where I can find their live disc "A Band In An Upperworld"? I really want to get it but can't find it on the websites I use to order from.

To sum it up I'm just getting into this band and from what I've heard thus far I would definitely love them to play PP next year. Can't wait for "Dominate" to arrive. The few songs i've heard from the album absolutely slay. :kickass:

you can get the live cd on cdinzane...
i would love to see them this year, but next year would be better so they could get a chance to play a longer set

They kicked ass the first time and made me like them more after seeing their PPV set. It wouldn't surprise me if Glenn waits for an additional album to go by before he invites them back. So they could be back for X.

Unfortunately, I would rather not see them again. I like their first 2 cds, but I was really bored with their performance at PP. Gus did an admirable job, but the band just left me flat.... Nothing personal, just MHFO......

So I am guessing you mean David Readman instead, right? Otherwise Gus would have some interesting shoes to fill is David Draiman from Disturbed were singing for Adagio.

:hypno: :Smokin: :p

Adagio is awesome though, I love Gus in the band as much as I do David. They both have two different approaches, which both work well.

When I saw them at PP, they impressed me. When I heard Dominate, they simply kicked my ass. This album has spinned a lot in my CD changer since I got it. Hope to see them soon, now that I'm really into the band.

i love adagios first 2 releases, but i just think that they dove off and became more generic with dominate

first 2 cds were fucking awesome and had a totally different sound and feel/mood than any other neoclassical band had really touched on IMO

but id still love to see them, since they are still one of my fav bands, just dont dig the new thats all

EXACT opposite opinion here... I think the first two were generic and boring, and they really grew and added some new influences with Dominate.

Great band...I'd love to see them at PP VIIII

 do you mean PP IX?
