My drummer refuses to play Saturday gigs because he works Saturdays and he doesn't want to loose the $80.00 (or something like that) that he would be making....

Easy fix, the rest of the band pay 80$ to him. In the long run you might want to consider firing him from the band for being so lame to ditch a gig for 80$.

I had some of the same ideas, but it's good to know that my drummer is the one with the problem, haha.
Thanks for the advice Ola, I'll give that a try.. Hopefully he won't have an excuse then (He has a -whole- bag of them)

I couldn't agree more man. Being in a band isn't really about stability, It's about playing some goddamn music.. and I think he doesn't understand that.
We probably will be looking for a replacement for him..Hopefully we can get one lined up pretty fast ( I have the worst luck with drummers)
