Agalloch fans might be interested...

when you said 'goat horn' I was hoping that you'd be auctioning off your schwarze-sonne emblazoned drinking horn that you had in the AAtG photosessions, but I should have known better that you'd never sell such a thing.

I checked on these a few days ago and you already had some huge bids. Much higher than some of those items would normally go for. Did you end up making a killing?

So when can we expect this new MCD?

JK, I wonder if we sold any of our own stuff it would reach a price even remotely close (I got the mantle double vinyl, the heathen winter shirt, ashes wooden box, of stone, wind and pillor). People could just want to throw off their panties for Haughm's address

Good point. I might have to get Haughm to sell my stuff one day and give him a commission. He could even sign it for some extra $$.

Actually, why the hell didn't he sign his own gear??? People would have paid extra for his signature, home address, and any other form of identity theft criteria.

It went for much more than I expected. Not often do I yell "holy fucking crap" at my computer screen.

The MCD...probably December. I hope so anyway. It's up to what Vendlus wants to do as far as a release date. We'll likely finish the recordings, mixing, assembly by the first week of October and I'll send the stuff off immediately after that. I already have 95% of the design finished.

One guy asked if we'd sign it.

I actually used my uncle's address for this auction and made it Paypal only. I'm not stupid. I'm actually quite freakishly private. My own bandmates have a difficult time finding my house, even with Mapquest.

Pacific Northwest dark metal legends AGALLOCH have completed work on their fourth full-length entitled “Marrow Of The Spirit”, the follow-up to 2006’s “Ashes Against The Grain”.

agalloch_coverart_250.jpg

Where the three predecessors to “Marrow Of The Spirit” (namely “Pale Folklore”, “The Mantle”, and the aforementioned “Ashes Against The Grain”) all differ from each other, the same can be applied with the new album as “Marrow Of The Spirit” is unlike anything AGALLOCH have ever produced before. This is also the first album to feature new AGALLOCH drummer Aesop Dekker (also in Profound Lore acts LUDICRA and WORM OUROBOROS) and features guest appearances by cellist Jackie Perez Gratz (GRAYCEON, GIANT SQUID, ASUNDER, AMBER ASYLUM), Jeffrey Neblock (VINDENSANG), and Nathan Carson (WITCH MOUNTAIN, TWO-TON BOA, SUNN 0)))).

Recorded and mixed on analog through the means of exquisite vintage gear within the months of July and August in Portland, Oregon at Audible Alchemy Studios with (FAUST guitarist) Steven Wray Lobdell and mastered and manifested in San Francisco, California at Trakworx Studios with Justin Weis (LUDICRA, SLOUGH FEG, HAMMERS OF MISFORTUNE) the six time-stretching songs that encompass “Marrow Of The Spirit” each come across as their own distinct identities amongst themselves. At over an hour in length, “Marrow Of The Spirit” is AGALLOCH’s darkest, bleakest, most dense, detailed and aggressive album to date and in turn is the most accomplished album of their career.

To officially be released in North America Nov 23th through Profound Lore Records, tracklisting for “Marrow Of The Spirit” goes as follows:

1. They Escaped The Weight Of Darkness [3:41]
2. Into The Painted Grey [12:25]
3. The Watcher’s Monolith [11:46]
4. Black Lake Nidstang [17:34]
5. Ghosts Of The Midwinter Fires [9:40]
6. To Drown [10:27]
