Agalloch's New Song - has anyone got it?

their best songs are the first 3 songs from pale folklore, so you might want to check that out first. the mantle is boring for the most part, i think. it just doesn't get anywhere and fails to deliver what it is supposed to deliver. also avoid of stone, wind and pillor.
the one song i have heard from the new one seems to be an improvement on pale folklore (especially vocals and production).

Agalloch have delivered once again imo. AATG is a great album, more complex than their previous works, a step in a slightly new direction, but still evolving, and also at the same time, not forgetting their core.

With each listen, you simply realise that Agalloch is too hard to be defined, you cant classify other than being great music written and performed by great musicians.

Very impressive and i cant wait to get my hands on the CD when its finally released.

Anyone bashing The Mantle is a complete moron. The Mantle is perfect.
its a great album, in my top 10 albums. perfect? HELL no. although the closest to perfect album i've ever heard would have to be Still Life.

didnt they only release one on blue vinyl and one on blue/white (which came with the woodenbox ltd to 60 or something)

They've done 3 Editions, well really 2 different in terms of the actual vinyl color:

Blue
Blue/White
Blue/White with Wooden Box

400 copies of the Blue which you can still find at The End Records, then they pressed 100 of the Blue/White. 60 went for the Wooden Boxes at the Day of the Equinox Festival and the the left over 40 were sold without the boxes through the record company.

I managed to pickup 3 of the Blue/White without the wooden box, theyre still sealed too. I'll probably open one when I upgrade my turntable setup, though I might just buy a regular blue edition for listening too... I still need Of Stone Wind and Pillor, I have everything else except well, their demo.

I have very few negative comments regarding any Agalloch releases - that includes the EPs/vinyls/etc which I think are great work... although I haven't heard the demos prior to Pale Folklore. All of their full-lengths are brilliant albums in their own right, with very different characteristics IMHO. The Mantle is easily my favourite album, I'm very much enjoying the new one too (especially Fire Above, Ice Below).

I can't help it... Agalloch and Ulver are the only bands I go totally "fanboy" over.

is it hard to breathe in that tiny bubble youre living in?
is it hard to breathe with your head up your ass?

to say that the mantle is perfect is beyond ignorance

i didnt even buy the blue/white vinyl, because it comes with the wooden box. the rest of the blue/white vinyl are just "left overs", and not an official release...So Ive only got the blue vinyl..

i wasnt talking about the mantle. i was talking about still life.
well its an opinion. sure the production may be flawed, but the songs flow beautifully.
