I'm waiting for Aion. Or maybe Guild Wars 2. Depends when either comes out and the PC requirements since my PC is now 3 years old and I'm not looking to put a lot of money into it any time in the near future.
I'm have a great time with it. Its tough, but I don't feel like I'm just grinding as I did at times in WoW. And WoW was a major improvement in this area over other games.
However, I haven't had much time to play it though. I'm only level 11 or so.
Its downsides are that it takes a decent computer to run well, and only one starting zone. But I prefer the actual combat a lot more, graphics are better (if you prefer this style, which I do), and I like the atmosphere of the game.
there is tons of stuff on youtube of live footage, character creation etc. Some of the stuff on there is really cool...and most of that is Beta footage. The Combat is really cool, it's not a point and click slasher fest...it's more real than that
I played the closed beta for a bit, only got in late April and they've made a lot of progress with the patches from what it was to what it is now. I've only been able to get a Barbarian to 18 and a Guardian to 14(Volcano quest was bugge don CB server last time I tried to play). My biggest dilema is I'm still in a WoW guild that raids Mt. Hyjal/BT 3-4 times a week.
I like Conan but paying for 2 WoW accounts and Conan seems a little too much. If I get bored I may pick it up for a free month after they dust settles a bit.
I'm looking forward to Warhammer though as a strong reason to stop playing WoW but I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket, keeping up the WoW appearences in case Wrath of the Lich King is the only thing with a somewhat decent PVE experience.
PVP is cool sometimes but I'm more into EQ style of gameplay and I guess that revolves around raiding and phat lewtz.
