Age Of Silence

Just to add...ALL 11 of your posts are in an Age of SIlence thread.

Like I said, prove what I said is BS. I dare you. How the FUCK can you prove an opinion wrong?! That's why it is called an OPINION.

Look it up in a dictionary.

Thanks.

Shoo.

Your opinion was presumning you knew my thoughts about the subject. You said I didn't acknowledge other people's opinions, and that was again only your opinion. So you just proved yourself wrong, congratulations.

And yes, all my 12 posts are in an Age of Silence thread. Nice to know you are keeping tabs. For future reference don't try to be intellectual with me because you'll fall short.

Okay. What did this post prove?

Let me answer my own question for you: NOTHING

Thanks. Be on your way again.

I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

I love it when people realize they just lost an argument and still have to have the final say. Like Mastercard, it's priceless.

Exactly. He still has said absolutely nothing for his argument against my OPINION. It's amazing.

Off to work.

That's not what this person was saying. The point was all along that you acused me of not respecting anyone else's opinions, but in the message just before it I asked you what kind of music you like.

You seemed to miss that somehow.

To get back on topic... I bougt the Age of silence album last friday and after listening to it a couple of times I really like it. Not mindblowing but a nice listen none the less! I've read a lot of mixed reviews for this record and many say it sounds "different". I find that the album reminds me of Solefald quite a lot (eventhough the Solefald member did'nt write any music for age of silence?), there are also some moments resembling later Arcturus. I would think that anyone who likes Solefald will enjoy Age of Silence

The bands that I listen to the most would include the following:

Agalloch
Empyrium
Drudkh
Neurosis
Hammers of Misfortune
Isis
Astrofaes
YOB
Acid Bath
Zero Hour
Estatic Fear
Solitude Aeturnus
Ulver
Negura Bunget
Primordial
Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin
Jethro Tull
Cream
Burning Witch
Skepticism
Doomsword
Vivaldi

...and so on and so forth. As you can see, my musical preferences are extremely varied. Also, yes, I enjoy Arcturus very much; mostly their first couple albums.

'ere ya go.

I agree with your main points for sure, but there aren't really a lot of mixed reviews around. There were like one or two bad ones, if you can call 6/10 bad) and the rest I've seen are good. Take a look:

8.5/10: http://metalstorm.ee/reviews/more_review.php?id=681

82/100: http://www.metalreviews.com/reviews/detail.php3?id=2386

Most reviews I've seen on this album are good, or great.

According to your tastes, these are my opinions (I've taken out the ones I haven't heard):

Agalloch they're ok
Empyrium overrated
Neurosis pretty cool
Solitude Aeturnus stink
Ulver mediocre electronica
Black Sabbath goes without saying
Led Zeppelin two words: deep purple
Jethro Tull great band, especially Ian Anderson, mr. talking to the Birds Man
Vivaldi yeah, another great band (!)

Deep Purple are awesome.

It seems to be a running theme that people are either Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin fans, and that's what's at the core of their musical tastes that ultimately make them different. People tend to be either Zeppelin fans or Purple fans, rarely both... go figure, you must either be that exception that proves the rule, or you're just too young. Probably the first.

I never noticed that. I'll admit though that I am not a huge Coverdale fan. I'm pretty biased towards earlier Purple.

I guess you just missed the 70's by an inch. Nowadays people are coming back to things again. If you see the kids at the mall wearing Metallica shirts these days it makes you wonder where all the old fans went.

Cut their hair and got a job maybe.
