My ISP is discontinuing it's DSL service. I won't go back to dial-up, no they can't make me...

I might disappear for a while if another carrier can't take over their service.

No cable available here Ec. I'm hoping that within the next week our isp will let us know what our options are. We signed a one year agreement with them with the typical "you will be cursed etc..." clause if you discontinue service before the year ends.
They may want their modem back and then we'll have to go through the whole process again with another provider but we're in limbo right now.

Well, it's ok as long as you have other high-speed options available. I for one could never go back to dial-up. I think I'd just convert my PC into a nice lamp or something and forget about computing altogether.
