I get those emails all the time for shit I put on craigslist. usually you can spot them since the names are all weird shit like Burlhginam Gregulnoks or some oddball name that can't be from a real person.

They even get a couple to re-enact the famous Monty Python parrot-sketch..
Some scams are also very fucked up..
I read about how a scammer puts up an auction/ad of ex. a brand new Playstation 3..
You win the auction/ad.. maybe for a price that's too good to be true..
But the scammer says: Hey, don't pay me straight away, I'll send it to you and you'll see that it's working etc. then you send me the money..
The scammer then buys a new Playstation 3, from some site, with a stolen creditcard number.. but puts your adress on it..
It shows up at your house.. it's new, it's good.. you pay.. and then you get sued/police come knocking on your door..
Scammers like that probably take money-orders/western union (right thing? it's not a common thing here in Sweden)..

Fuck I never thought about it. I always wondered how people could buy something tangible with a stolen credit card number. It's actually clever as long as they are from a country where they can easily get away with it.
