AKG c451

Ive been looking around at decent hats mics as I mentioned in a previous thread. Im looking at the C451 EB at the moment and have seen the 451B. I know the EB really well and wondered if anyone know if in the real world how much of a difference there is between the 2 of em?? both seem to have the ck1 capsule.

ive used a 451 as overheads and they were great. they had the roll-offs and the polarity option which was convienient. i dont know anything about the EB's, but check out Rode NT-5s. Ive seen them used a few times and they seem kinda cool.

used to use 451 quite some time on hats and they're good...recently I switched to sm7 on hats and couldn't be happier...nice middy grind..aggressive
