I finally got around to listening to Godflesh's "A World Lit Only By Fire" and its probably the best material they have ever made. Probably their most crushing riffs too.

I was reading a Sepultura interview a few days ago where Kisser said that Cause of Death cover was originally supposed to be the cover for Beneath the Remains. Interesting fact.

I finally got around to listening to Godflesh's "A World Lit Only By Fire" and its probably the best material they have ever made. Probably their most crushing riffs too.

It sounds so huge. Incredible production job. Saying its their best is a bit of a stretch, especially compared to albums like Streetcleaner and Pure but as far as comebacks go, its one of the finest.

That is a true story. Both pieces were done by Michael Whelan, who did the Elric art used on Cirith Ungol albums. He also did a Jackson 5 album cover.
