I'd say so, yeah. AWLOBF was great, everything it needed to be an more, like Broadrick described it as a very back to basics album, getting to the core of what his initial vision of Godflesh was. Direct, minimal and brutal. Post Self is an entirely different animal. The sound is much more expansive and textural.
