First listen and already loving this. Judging from RYM, these vocals are a great normie filter.

1997 was another good power metal year. Symphony X, Cauldron Born, Stratovarius, Jag Panzer, Tad Morose, Gamma Ray, Rhapsody, etc. all released fantastic material. Looking forward to that poll.

I've found Motorhead has ruined a lot of those black/thrash/speed copy cat bands for me any more...



It's just not fair really to compare those bands, even ones I really like when Motorhead can do shit like this even on their "weaker" albums

Cheer-Accident - Sever Roots, Tree Dies



Just discovered this, really heavy riff-oriented prog, that angular Bruford-period King Crimson kinda thing meets a grimy 80s sound.

This is harsh and weird. Drumming is kinda awful drum machine nonsense but the atmosphere is strange as fuck and the vocals have been altered to completely inhuman noises.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. It's a cool album but for me not even in the top 5 best Judas Priest albums.

Haven't heard this one in probably literally a decade. Don't remember all the layers of synthesizers and other weird stuff here, maybe because I used $10 earbuds at the time, I can see how maybe they were going for a Rage for Order thing here, interesting so far.

Good album. Was reissued with a live DVD a while ago.

Up to Love Bites it's a pretty great album, at least.

Indeed, the first four tracks are great. Then it's pretty dull and the only good track on the second part of the album is Night Comes Down to be honest.
