Christian Älvestam is a douchebag, but I cannot deny the greatness of this album. I also have a fetish for "outer space" themed albums. Modern MDM milestone.

I happen to love Alvestam's vocals. But is his apparent doucheyness the reason he's been in and out of so many bands?

He's kind of a one-trick-pony, vocally, but it's not a bad trick. He sounds a lot like Daughtry sometimes.

Well I think Holographic Universe is arguably the catchiest metal album ever. When your in the mood for incredibly cheesy, poppy, "I cant totally imagine dumb college girls loving this without the growls"-metal...its great.

His not too loyal to his fanbase, and was not a guy I would like to meet and greet again. Guess he is a hard guy to work with, but he ends up with quality stuff that way I guess. I have nothing to say against his insane vocals though.

Probably my favorite Melodeath album. I obviously don't know Alvestam personally, but I do know he has a fucking insane voice.
