I rediscovered how much I like this album last night. I think it gets too much shit. It represents the full potential of melodic guitarwork combined with their most intense use of symphony orchestra. The following album delivered on the latter, but failed on the former.

Can't stop listening to this album lately. Some great progressive flourishes and atmosphere throughout.

The one gripe I had with what I heard from it before I went out yesterday was the horrifically wanky solo that basically sounded like Jeff Loomis ejaculating on the title track.
makes me proud to be from oregon
one of my favourite albums ever. I have two copies of it, one for the car and one for home.
