There's something so crushing and encompassing about that album. It buries you under this vast sonic weight.

And there's nothing else that sounds like it. They're kinda like Portal in the sense that NO ONE else has their sound. You know Ulcerate within seconds of hearing a track. I hesitate to use the phrase "ambient death metal", but that's almost what it is.
