Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Anathema's early material is ofter overlooked and underrated. The fact that their music now has nothing to do with death/doom, let alone metal, might have something to do with it. But nonetheless, it's some amazing stuff.

I remember the moment they finally clicked with me too. Twas a good day. I thought I could never get over the vocals, but now I fucking love em.

Haha same here. I sat down and said "okay, I'm gonna understand this shit" and just listened to the whole album. Now it's on my top 10 black metal albums list.

Sorry guys, I can't get on board. W!aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh over black metal is just too much for me. I find it earsplittingly annoying,to be honest. Even bought it at some point. Tried to sit down and give it proper attention and that only made me hate it more. Sold it to V5 for like five bucks.
