Obliteration - Black Death Horizon

I fucking love this album. Definitely one of my favourite newer death metal releases. Disgusting and drenched in filth. The opening track is immense and makes my skin crawl. Sick vocals, too.

I bought this on a blind buy and couldn't really get into it. Maybe I'll give it another shot one of these days.

I guess I'm a casual death metal listener, cause I listen to Morbid Angel more than every other band in the genre combined, but they're still one of my favorite bands ever. Epic riffs and rhythms.

Morbid Angel is definitely one of the best metal bands ever. Seen them live twice and they've been great both times. Tonnes of energy.

I don't see why you wouldn't like loads of other death metal if you like Morbid Angel, though.

I know there's little innovative on it, but it's a really fucking good album. The songs are catchy and have a classic vibe to them. A good balance of their speed metal stuff and their more rock based stuff. The most underrated Priest album.

This is some really good stuff, listened to it 3 times already today. This album in particular has a unique Black/Doom/Folk vibe which are my 3 favorite metal genres by quite a margin. Dare I say better than Nokturnal Mortum? Yeah. It is.
