Dusk EP
Wisconsin busted out some impressive death doom back in the day.

.. i love DiSanto's vocals. Wouldn't be Vektor without him.

Id be inclined to agree if he was up to par with the rest of the musicians. His screams kind of get on my nerves after a while and I cant help but feel he is one dimensional in his approach. He is good as a black/thrash vocalist, but the prog/thrash he is trying to sing behind on this album just seems to require a bit more variation in his approach. Considering his decent clean vocals towards the end of the album, I bet given more experience he would be good enough to perform vocals on this album; but atm he isnt quite good enough, imo.

Ice Sword - Dragon Magic

This album is endearingly cheesy in a way that I find appealing. I can't easily fault a band that's so dedicated to their craft and the musicianship is actually pretty great.

The intro track sounded too Summoning, but the second song is the most vintage early-Slough Feg thing I've heard, danke, will listen to the rest later.

Yeah, I thought the intro was a bit long but the actual songs are too good to dismiss. This will make my top 10 for this year easily.
