Both great. Two very different styles. Dime didn't really borrow any of the neo-clasical influences of sweeping arpeggios or odd ball scales and modes. He had a more straight style. I would say Dimebag is my choice, but Skolnick is probably the better technical player.

never great these who's better qeustions,2 total;ly diff players,obviously alex came from a more schooled background however dimebag shits all over him as far as heavy riffs and solos go.

Skolnick. Im not sure what riffs he wrote in testament but for solos i think his are way better than dimebags. I recently got skolnicks jazz cd which is pretty cool

both different - both kick ass in their own unique ways.
impossible and ridiculous to say who is 'better'.

they both had/have their own unique voice and style of playing and not many players have that.
