I've nothing against the band or Alexi or anybody I assure you, I just find it isn't very good to idolize someone to that degree. Sure it doesn't hurt anyone and sure there are people who instantly go 'Alexi is a fag and Bodom suck' but who cares, those people are even worse off than the hardcore fans. But as far as dressing/talking like Alexi, owning his guitar and trying to be like him in every way, when you're 20 years old, I mean... it's like if I really thought cake was the greatest food in existence and I was to say "OMFG CAKE IS GOD!" and then I started putting frosting and sprinkles on myself and walking around. You see my point? People would give me shit but if I was happy I wouldn't care. That is the medium, be happy but don't idolize to the point that it's detrimental to yourself. For the younger kids I don't mind so much, imitation is the greatest form of flattery but when it comes to 18-20+ year old people, that is the only time I reflect on the 'fanboyism' as a negative thing. Love the band, love the artists in the band, that is fine. But please don't try to BE the people in the band. But then again to each his own, I'm not judging anyone, just saying my opinion.

As far as people here making it seem like listening to Bodom or liking Alexi is a crime worthy of being called a faggot every time you post, I agree, and it is stupid I never understood why people who say they hate the band/Alexi come here :lol:
 
If I remeber right, you were one of the persons who flamed me because I putted 4 solos from Alexi in my top 5 solo list and I'm NOT a fanboi so don't tell me you won't judge anybody.
 
What I said was mainly because I HATE when artists get their feet off the ground and treat their fans like they don't care, sure in concerts they go "we love you guys very much" but I have seen more than 2 posts of Janne where he's being irrespectful to their fans, and I can't believe people (fanboys) go and kiss his feet saying stuff like "see whay you guys do!! you are being too mean to our GOD!!!!".

I just wanted to share that :)
 
And I'm windering if the European tour (completely) still goes on with the broken finger. Cause that are things people should be concerned about.

And those not going to those gigs. Well, bare with us:)

And besides, Im cool with people wanting an Alexi guitar, but copying a guy is senseless and hopeless. Personally im a fan of Jaska. I would LOOVE to catch one of his drumsticks. Hes amazing, and thats it. Would love to do the things he does and be me :headbang:

It's so funny how everyone complained about alexi bashing/alexi loving in this thread. and then you start to allege alexi that he was drunk so he broke his finger.
