Am I Supposed to like Arcturus - La Masqerade Infernale Straight away?

Well, I was in a bit of confusion as well the first couple of times through....however, I clicked with Ad Astra straight away.
Is definitely a bit more avantgarde than usual, heading in the same avant direction as The Kovenant maybe?

There was confusion, but I found it comfortable confusion, mainly because of the quality of the music.

I found it one of those albums that you barely click with at first, but given the right moment and mood, it can all suddenly make sense

If you have the mp3s...remember to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that you don't have the techno-remixes of the songs.

There is a difference between Ad Astra, and Ad Astra: the Magenta Experience.

why?
why does people instantly refuse to listen to any song that has the word remix in the title

I've loved that album from the first time I heard it. I mean. Come on. It's Garm, it must be incredible!!!

La Masquerade Infernale is one of the top five albums I've ever heard.

When I got the Disguised Masters CD, I was so disgusted that I couldn't listen to the original version for probably a year or so, because if the creators of LMI had so little respect for it to do such a thing, how could I justfy having any sort of emotional investment in it?

Greetings.

As much respect as I have for you and the job you've done with the Flame Princess, I must say that I violently disagree with you on this. I confess, I never heard the remixes, so I can't say if they're bad, but I would not blame any artist for remixing his music, however technoid it is. It is, after all, still music. Of course it's a question of opinion, but you should not condemn an artist you seem to love only because he used a genre you reject from the start. As I said, I never heard it, so maybe it is really utter crap, but after all, he did Themes from William Blake and Perdition City, albums that got MUCH praise from Garm's fans.

I hope you'll open up a little bit on this, really, not because I think you are a jerk, but because I think you are losing lots of awesome artistic works that are partly made by or totally made of electronic effects. Cheers.

I thought the remix of Ad Astra was bloody great. I like that remix album (no, not as much as the original, but it's still got some cool things in it).

And to answer the original question of this thread, expect it to take as many as 5 spins, it's got alot of depth.
