Sanity is too overrated
Whoohoo! Just got my tickets for next Monday's show at the House of Blues here in San Diego. I see they have 2 bands opening for them. Anyone know how long the opening acts are playing for? The show is supposed to start @ 7:00, and I don't get out of class until 6:45, then like a 25 minute drive to get to downtown to where the venue is, and find parking. So I'm hoping the opening acts are gonna be playing for a little while so I don't have to miss when AA hits the stage. Anyone know?

But the most important thing is to know when they will open the doors, for example I missed the Paradise Lost set because they said that the doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00, when PL started at 7:30
So like i posted before either Amon Amarth start playing at 7:30 or 8:00 but I'm pretty sure it's 8:00 and also you have to consider the setup up time for each band..I will keep everyone posted with updates

Wait, both opening acts are going to play in an hour? I would think there would be some set-up time between each band. Fuck, that doesn't give me much time at all to get from class to the show. I'm not interested really in seeing the opening acts, but I certainly don't want to miss any of AA's set. And there's a meet and greet before the show? Last year Johan came out after the show. Damn, this sucks, cause I definately can't miss class. Guess I'll just have to see if I can bail early.

Heh, just had an interesting development. Had a friend of my girlfriend's call. She apparently was given tickets to the show tomorrow, and is taking her two rugrats, one who's 3, and the other's 8. The 3 year old just adores me for some reason, so I guess "uncle Billy" gets to show him how to headbang. LOL. Definately have to start them off early.
Well it said for SOTU that they would do meet and greets when doors open but they didn't until after their set...
By the way, why isn't this stickied?

umm how about you show some respect and let the poeple at the front keep their spot. They are the ones that have been standing outside the club for three hours and they deserve it.
Poeple who bring children that young to metal shows should be shot as soon as possible. That is awful and wrong, I'm sure her kids will thank her when they are deaf and the little one is dying of lung cancer.
