Amon Amarth vs. Bolt Thrower

i like and respect bolt thrower but i'm just so, so rarely in the mood for meat'n'taters death metal

This is my thoughts on stockholm and a lot of american bands

Just finished listening to Sorrow throughout the Nine Worlds and the first half of One Sent Through the Golden Hall. EP seemed sincere enough, and probably the best material they penned. The first full length was also inoffensive, but I couldnt get through it. Hit pause at the half way mark to keep my yawns at bay.

Old-New Bolt Thrower always constitutes a heavy foot tap. Consistent, sincere, and sperm producing!

That question could be asked about a ton of bands, including Amon Amarth.

Being such a fan of the band, I would say yes, but that's probably my Bolt Boner talking. If you can find For Victory (my fave), Realm of Chaos, or Those Once Loyal for a decent price, your manliness will get a big boost and you can do far far worse.

Anybody into underground metal should at the very least own Realm of Chaos.

My favourite albums besides that are For Victory and Mercenary.

I had "Honour, Valour, Pride" back in the day and was not super into it. I've been meaning to check out "Those Once Loyal" for some time so I'll take a listen to these eventually.

I read through this thread again now that I'm very familiar with the Bolt Thrower discography and that post made me cringe. You've gotta know nothing about both BT and Death Metal to think they are some indistinct, run of the mill DM band.

P.S. Bolt Thrower crushes AA.
