Ampsims eating my CPU like crazy

On my latest project I have 2 instances of Lecto for rhythms w/ boogex, eq and a screamer plug in front, two instances of LE456 for leads with boogex, eq, screamer, delay and reverb separately on both (no sends), and then for bass there's TSE BOD on one track and Lecto on the other (both with boogex, eq and comp on the BOD track)...I have a measly 2 gigs of RAM and set the buffer to 2048 ms and there's not a problem, no skipping no slowdowns. I woyuld think you would have an even easier time? My mobo is from 2007.

Maybe there's some background processes you need to kill, or run some malware/antivirus scans and check your process manager program to see if there's anything eating up processing power other than what you should have.

Do you know something about Nick Crow? Where is he? If he is working with some audio company or anything?

Yeah some plugs just have a ways with your system :( I remember running a few instances of the ABG sims in the past and a single instance would eat up over 50% of my cpu. It was a bug and was later patched with a new update, and as others said - some plugs just don't manage resources all too well (not sure if that is the case with the nick plug, but A/B'n against another sim it would answer that question)

I have ezmix and I am gonna get ezmix 2 which comes out in 3 days and I save money because I already have ezmix toontrack

ezmix 2 has amp sims and promises to be low resource

so you could use it and tweak then render tracks with your fav plugins later on
