An epic song in the next album?

I know the next album wont be a conceptual one, but i wonder if we will have the opportunity to listen to another song such as The Odyssey or Through The LookingGlass.

Which will be the concept behind the song? What are your thoughts?

Its hard for me to think of anything since I have no idea what the album is going to be like.

Based on what we've been told it'll be something that is "darker" yet stays "true to their original sound." It's really hard to tell. They've done stuff on Egyptian and Greek mythology, Lewis Carroll, Poe, Dante, medieval stuff, so who knows what they'll do next? I'm thinking of books I'd like to see them do songs about but I'm drawing a blank.

if its anything like their previous epics, it'd be amazing. divine wings especially comes to mind...

they should write an epic about something cool, like the end of the world or something heinous and invented. I think they've done enough on literature/mythology recently

I saw the yellow font easily, before reading other posts... And I don't really think they need an epic every album, 8-10 minute songs are enough. The epics are good too but sometimes I don't want to sit and listen for that long, y'know...

I haven't read Paradise Lost so I have to look into that sometime. But with my schedule "sometime" probably means never.

That does sound right, that it won't be as triumphant, and there won't be an epic. Of course, it would be nice if they changed their minds, but who knows?

I can live with this, though, as long as the production isn't painful like The Odyssey.
