Anathema/Antimatter covers compilation

Yo !

So i talked about it with Mehdi and Mick the other night. What about making a compilation based on the model of the Antimatter boardmembers one, but this time the idea would be the following : People from the board would be invited to make Anathema or Antimatter covers and then upload them on a server. Could be funny if we don't turn it into some kind of contest like on the Katatonia board.
There could be many ways to make the covers : with your band if you've got one , just with the guitar and the voice or the piano and the voice, instrumental , A Cappela , playing the triangle , with a good music program on the PC... whatever you want , it's up to your imagination and creativity
So what do you think of this , any suggestions ?? Would there be enough people in for that ??

I like playing Silent Enigma on acoustic guitar but I have no proper recording equipment

i can spend some time mixing some tracks into one on my pc or sthe of that sort

well the production doesn't have to be professional of course, you can record on your sound card with a crappy microphone... And I'm sure most of us arent good singers as well

Yeah that's good if Sopel can help this way. I repeat I don't want it to become some kind of contest for the best cover. Just do it for fun and to pay tribute to our beloved bands

Hmm... I do have a mic. I'll try it in some time, but I might choose an acoustic version of Fragile Dreams instead of Silent Enigma I guess.

It can be done but we've got to have enough people involved, that's what I'm scared about.

ok. tonight i'll get really drunk, then conect a mic to the pc and start singing "god is coming". all the sounds will come from my mouth though, no instruments and that crap. it could turn out really funny.
