the becks you get in america e.g. (even the "imported") has NOTHING to do with the german becks..

Well, they can be pretty bitter, but that is what I love. I love sour-ass lambics too.

I don't drink Guiness (and am wary of most ales from the isles) because its not vegan.

I'd have to say my homebrew is best. But to be fair, it is an Altbier. German Hops, German grains, American yeast.

Best beer ever is either Schumacher Alt or Ueriger.

Close second is some Austrian beer I can't remember, but only because of a long story involving the Alps and Bergretung.

I'm about 6 months (and only 7 batches) into homebrewing, and it rules. I make beers that pretty much only other homebrewers like though (so many hops, and high ABV), hahaha. I wish I had more time to do it, but with my day job (live sound) and recording at night, plus bands, I don't have any time!
