I'm not trying to sound like an jerk, but I don't really understand what is so hard about the 5:54 section? It's just rhythmic, if you can feel the rhythm of it....no problem.

Since when is stating the obvious being "a jerk"?

Anyway I studied that part and I have done this recording
I have to work on it hard to be tight
Ether think of it like you're playing a funky guitar, all that muffles make think of it.
Not so easy but not even so difficult!

Mauriz - Maybe I should cop more Prince licks. =) My initial hangup was on the (+ a 2) of the second bar; it felt alien at first but it's on lock down now. That part actually reminds me more of Dream Theater than anything else.

Anyway in the title track of that record there are a lot of cool riff from "new metal" riff (5:41) to very technical stuff like that riff at 5:54.
I recorded just 2 takes one far left and on far right, I think if I recorded 4 times that shit, it would have been a complete disaster 'cause you have to be very tight.
