angra is one of those bands in that long list of bands that have been around for a long time and that I have never listened to, maybe one day I will change it. just wondering, which album should i start with?

Holy Land is considered their classic, but it was made way back in 1997 or 1998 and the recording budget wasn't big enough to fully create the sound they wanted. Not that it wasn't awesome to listen to then, but I don't think it holds up as well today.

Holy Land is actually an album that's crying out for a re-recording with a bigger budget and modern production.

I think Temple of Shadows is all the way up there, but Holy Land and Angels Cry aren't much (if at all) behind. Holy Land (97) was a fantastic concept album it's their classic together with Angels Cry. I'd love to see it re-recorded but I can't see that album being done by the current lineup. It would have to feature Andre on vocals in order for it to work (though I like Edu too).
