Anime

Well, did you like those you saw?

If you did, Akira ==> Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star (series); Megapolis, Ghost in the shell, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence (movies)

I don't watch many samurai stuff, but try out Sword of the Stranger movie. You might also like popular shonen stuff like Bleach.

I also recommend Full Metal Panic, LastEXILE, Fulmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Gungrave, Black Lagoon, FLCL, Terra He, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Minami Ke and School Rumble are two excellent comedy series.

Yeah. I still have not yet finished Samurai Champloo or Deathnote, but I really dig them both. Akira took me a few tries to get through, but when I finally finished it I loved it, and Afro Samurai was the first anime I really got into. I had seen bits of the stuff they play on Cartoon Network, but I just never really got it I guess.*shrug* Thanks for the info though. I've been hearing a lot about Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist.

And Dragon Ball Z....I have no interest in whatsoever. I just....no.

Hellsing!
I like it:D

I can't believe this wasn't mentioned earlier on, Hellsing kicks win.

My recommendation is be Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex (aka GITSSAC)

EDIT: Nvm crazy_aus already said it

I hate anime tv series... such generic bullshit usually... I mena I'm sure there's some exceptions but I generally can't stand it. Hellsing is a good example of something that this rule doesn't apply to. I was never a huge weeaboo tbh... but the movies I have ALWAYS AND STILLDO LOVE are...

Ninja Scroll (If you haven't seen it, go nao!)
Princess Mononoke
Fist of the North Star (The first movie is my fav)
Spirited Away
Ghost in the Shell

Um, fuck there's a few more I just can't remember them all... Dead Leaves is a weird and cool one.. um.. DevilMan was entertaining from what I recall... shit I'll have to post more later.
