Anime is so... general. I mean, those say shit about Animes - I mean like... wait, just like Knarfi, yeah YOU! - ARE JUST A BUCN HOF FUCKING... no, I mean, says that just because they know Pokemon, Dragonball, Sakura Cardcaptor and Sailor Moon (and have wanked some times to the Blue Girl *yeah I know that shit*) but it's like hating Hollywood movies because you saw the Scary Movies thing (Epic, Love whatever movie), or like saying Chocolate is fucking shit because you tasted only White one etc etc etc etc

Like in everything you need to dig a little to find good stuff, and yes, there's genre in Anime.

And no I'm not a weaboo btw.

To Dred: I've only saw Death Note that I could refer to you. I'm actually a big fan of Ruroni Kenshin but that enters with the Dragon Ball thing, you need to have known that in you childhood to enjoy that I think (even if in my mind the Ruroni Kenshin manga is deeper and got nice psychological turned combat than DBZ).

This was my issue with anime. I'd only seen bits and pieces and just assumed I didn't like it. I watched an episode of Afro Samurai on Spike TV and then downloaded the miniseries, and loved it....so I figured it couldn't be all bad. Now I'm here.

The problem with Disney is that it's in the past, it was based on a concrete set of animation techniques, and, for all it's worth, it's just one company. They failed to advance technologically, aside from some Dreamworks-made movies that they sponsor. That's why you can't really compare.
