Another Kamelot tour?

Since Kamelot played ProgPower last year (twice), how could that have been a problem last year? You could see them at ProgPower if you went to ProgPower or you could see them at home if you stayed home. Not sure how anyone could complain.

I didn't make it to ProgPower last year (yeah, it was one of the 3 I missed). But if I did, I would've been getting there Friday morning for the first time - so I would've missed them anyways. I was lucky enough to get to see them in NYC with Nightwish (though I wish Floor was already with them by then).

The complaining isn't serious, like I said - more tongue in cheek. For god's sake, I've been to more Kamelot shows then I can count (or metal shows in general). Unless it's an absolute bucket list band for me (or a band that I usually can't see otherwise), you won't hear THAT much complain from me. :)

Kamelot in Orlando very often equals Kamelot in Ft Lauderdale. WIN!

Sorry to bust your bubble, but Kamelot posted this Monday on their facebook:

"Exclusive Florida Concert Announced!

One show in their home state? Very surprised indeed.

One show in their home state? Very surprised indeed.

Their style doesn't draw very well in Florida. Think of the geographical aspect. You go down south for hours for the shows and then what's the solution? Driving back up. It's a state that's plagued by not-so-great attendance and awful geographical location.

Home state doesn't mean THAT much sometimes.

FYI they just announced preorders for September 7th at The Palladium in Worcester MA! I'll be getting my VIP tix very soon.

I saw that. Too bad it's ProgPower weekend. I take you're not coming down to ATL this year?

No, it's something I realistically won't be able to afford anytime soon. Plus the lineup doesn't really grab me. The only band on the lineup that I really like is Soilwork but i'll be seeing them on their upcoming tour (possibly twice). There's a couple other bands i'm kind of interested in but not enough to trek all the way down there. I'd like to go to one someday but i'd have to of course be able to afford it and the lineup for me would have to be worth the trip.

Crap.
I have driven that 212 miles to see a 45 minute Evergrey set. And then drove back right after the set ended.
Won't do the same for Kamelot...

I don't know Eklipse at all, but i've heard quite a few Delain songs and have enjoyed them. I haven't been intrigued enough to buy anything of theirs, but maybe seeing them in a live setting will change that.

I was also kind of hoping for Amaranthe as a support act too...

Going to try and go to the Kansas City show. It helps that its on a Friday and I'll have some time to recover after PP.
