another KISS question...

* Skid Row - Come On And Love Me
* Iced Earth - Detroit Rock City (only live though)

Those are the only 2 I can think of at the moment, but theres bound to be lots!

Anthrax: Parasite
Anthrax: She
Anthrax: Watchin' You
The Donnas: Strutter
Extreme: Strutter (very different arrangement)
Gin Blossoms: Christine Sixteen
Hair of The Dog: I

And these are just the ones I've got :D. Go to www.kissfaq.com for a bigger list. Which compilation did you end up buying, BTW?

Ahh I haven't got one yet, but I think I will start with the 'Alive's. :)

Am listening to The Donnas now, and its pretty cool. I remembered this cover from the movie 'Detroit Rock City', so I went and d/led it. :)

Spawny, would you happen to have that Iced Earth cover on mp3, to possibly upload? :D

I possibly might Blitzy :D it might take me a while to find it though, but when I do, ill let you know and find some way of sending it to you!

There are alot of good ones, HEAPS of bands have covered Kiss, surprise surprise haha!

The best ones I've heard are:

Anthrax - She (EASILY the best!)
Anthrax - Parasite
Skid Row - C'Mon & Love Me
Helloween - I Stole Your Love

That's all I can think of at the moment though lol... most of the ones on the Kiss My Ass tribute album are AWFUL except Anthrax's She. Some others on it are ok like Gin Blossoms doing Christine Sixteen and Lenny Kravitz doing Deuce but most is awful. Especially Tool doing Calling Dr. Love. :puke:

I wanna hear all of Poison's cover of Rock & Roll All Nite too coz I've only heard the snippet of it that's playing at the start of the "Nothin' But A Good Time" video.

Pretty much the same as Kiss' :)

I mean its a countryish sounding acoustic song with Peter Criss singing hehe. Prefect for Garth Brooks or someone. I even read somewhere Paul originally wrote the song for Rod Steward but thought Peter's voice fitted it perfectly and kept it for Kiss.

A chiiiiiiiiiiiild of the water..... Too proud to be a Queen!

On a sorta related note, has anyone else here read the Psycho Circus comic by Todd McFarlane? Its one of the greatest reads EVER and i have read a shitload of comics, I recommend it to everyone, its hard to explain, its sorta got Kiss in it, but they are nothing like what you expect, its violent, gothic and evil, it rules so much!

I have the first three issues. I didn't like them.

My favourite comic at the moment is Midnight Nation by J. Michael Stracynski (the Babylon 5 guy). Spawny should know about this because it's published by Topcow. Only read the first one so far and I'm hooked .

Anyone know where I can find the original comic of The Crow? I'm not interested in any of the spinoffs, just the first story that inspired the film. There's a collected edition of all four issues on Amazon, but I'd prefer to buy it locally :).

Midnight Nation is one of the finest pieces of literature EVER! I read it from the start and I own all 12 individual issues and im going to buy the trade paperback as well. Its so good I cant even put it into words!

The next thing you should read is Rising Stars Wrathy, they are up to issue 20 of 24 but there are 2 trade paperbacks covering the first 16 issues out now. Its by the same writer and is muchous goodius :)

Im surprised you dont like Psycho Circus Wrathy, I figured it would be right up your alley
