another KISS question...

Yep, all 12 issues, I was SO sad when it ended

Buy it, you will not be sorry! Then I can finally have a philosophical conversation with someone about it, it throws up some very good points and some very poignant moments :D

(Havent read Road To Perdition Spiffy, and I actually havent ever heard of a comic called that either, so it cant have been a big seller, it may have a different name of course...)

Listen smarty pants, Midnight Nation has no superheros at all!

Ive never heard of Max Collins, you could very well be making his name up... :)

Ive heard of V For Vendetta, never read it though. He seems to write crime stuff pretty much, of which I dont read a lot other than Powers and Sam And Twitch.

I dont think I have read his Batman stuff either, but a more crimeish angle on Batman actually sounds quite interesting...

Haven't read any of the CSI books, unless you count "The Forensic Science of CSI" which is a must-have for any would be crime writer. Max Allan Norman's name rings a bell though.

Spawny, V For Vendetta was written by Allan Moore and is one of the best comics ever. Read it now if not sooner.

Batman is at its best when it's more whodunnit than formulaic superhero nonsense. I'm not interested in that kind of thing anymore, particularly when there's so much better stuff out there.

And Batman's not a real superhero, he's just a guy who goes to the gym a lot. Superman, now *there's* a superhero. This whole Superman vs Batman movie is going to be so lame because it'll be over in like ten minutes.

Batman would kick Supermans goody two shoes ass! Superman doesnt have what it takes to win, Batman does!

Powers IS superheros crime stuff Spiffy :)

How the hell would Batman even *hurt* Superman without cheating and using kryptonite? The only way Batman could do it is talk Superman into killing himself, and I doubt even Superman could do that.

Although there was an episode of Lois & Clark where Supes managed to change his molecular structure for a short time so he could walk through these laser bar things that would trigger a bomb, but if he did it for too long (or too much, I can't remember which) then he could die.

Batman has the brains to for it, thats why! Brains always beats brawn!

*Goes into nerd mode*

In the Tower Of Babel storyline, Rai's Al Ghul got a hold of Batmans secret files that he had on every member of the JLA and started picking them off, for Superman, Batman had synthesised Kryptonite and thats how he incapacitated Superman.
That might be "cheating" but like I said, Batman will do what it takes to win, he would make sure the fight wasnt fair :D

*Nerd mode off*

Batman could do what he's done before in such a crisis- break his back and get some lightweight wuss with a split personality to fill in for him. Good lord I hate Azrael

(NOT Gargamel's cat on the Smurfs before anyone starts!)

I think I might have read a few of those. Batman seemed to have gone all silly, though, what with the new Robins and stuff like that.

I haven't read any comics in years. "Signal To Noise" was always my favourite graphic novel, though!

Powers rocks, it is a tad hard to pick up if you havent been reading from the start though, and even then it took 7 or 8 issues for me to really enjoy it, but its great now and i look forward to it every month!

If you get a chance, buy the "Sam And Twitch: Udaku" trade paperback, its as good as anything you will ever read in comics. It has such a GREAT story, and if you can put it down before you find out what Udaku is, ill eat my nuts :D Its by Bendis as well :)

Because im in a typing mood at the moment, heres the story of the Robins:

Robin 1 - Outgrew being Robin and is now the hero Nightwing, who operates in Bludhaven, a city nearish to Gotham.

Robin 2 - Was killed by the Joker in a bombing (At the end of one issue, they left Robin in the rubble and told fans they could vote on whether Robin lived or died by ringing a certain number. The vote was roughly 11500 to 11000 to have him killed)

Robin 3 - Another youngish kid, pretty much the first and most popular Robin with a new name really.

For some reason, Batman tends to be either fantastic, or pretty formulaic and predictable. Heres 2 good trades to read:

Contagion: The Ebola virus takes over Gotham, its really great! (well as a story...) One of my favourites, ive probably read it about 20 times

Cataclysm: A big earthquake hits Gotham, and all the prisoners escape, as do all of the inmates in Arkham Asylum etc.
One of the best Batman stories ever, but be warned, after Cataclysm, theres 5 volumes of "No Mans Land" to buy, which is about what happens after Gotham is declared void from the US because its so f**ked up and noone can enter or leave. Great stuff :D

Never heard of Signal To Noise, who wrote it? Whats it about?
