Another new TDWP album?

Agree, but can you blame him? This place doesn't really embrace his style and 80% of the members here knock his productions any chance they get.

Since when did I make up 80% of this forum's members? Har har.

If anything, I figured the MAJORITY of this forum embraces his style, surely the guys who're into real drums and amps have been outnumbered a hundred to one by now?

I dunno.

Personally if i was in a band i would want to work with different producer's To freshen things up.....Maybe do 1 or 2 with the same guy and then maybe find someone else and then maybe the 4 or 5 th comeback kinda like what Andy was talking about in the video

Dunno so much about his production. I think it's just mainly the kinda bands and music he works with. Musically, the best stuff I've heard him work on is okay at best, and the other stuff is just totally meh IMHO.

Honestly I think most people, and even the more top level guys here, really respect the sounds that Joey gets considering his relatively minimalist setup, because they understand it's mostly in the ears, experience and knowledge and Joey definitely has those down.

Also, find it kinda funny the last time Joey posted was in the Tits/Ass/Porn thread, and he didn't post for 13 days before that haha.
No is immune from the power of the pr0n.

HAHA! :D

Honestly, if you were part of a community that had nothing good to say about your productions, the bands you deal with, and basically everything about you - would you stick around?

That's all I am saying - didn't want to get into emulations vs. real life recordings, since that's an entirely different subject.

^ that guy

zombie ep is fucking epic!

Yeah I don't mean to bring the negativity into here.....our vocalist LOVES this band and maybe I'm just really picky about the metal I listen to or something? but....he feels the need to play the same album (Roots Above....) just about EVERY day I'm at the jam space (which is just about EVERY day).....Now I think he just does it to get on my nerves. :guh: But I guess we all have our different styles and I can respect it for what it is, just it's mostly chugga chugga dissonant chord emo singing chugga chugga slower chugga. I'm more of a riff-kinda guy. The same burnt disc he has contains 2 Beneath the Massacre songs before TDWP, and THAT shit gets me going!!

Zombie EP had more of an organic and "real" feel to it (for lack of better word) compared to WRAABB. Also much heavier and the guitar tone is better. Doesn't seem over-quantized either, kinda like how "Plagues" was (which is pretty raw sounding compared to his other recordings.)
His style of recording just suits the band perfectly in my opinion, and I don't see a reason why they should ever use a different producer. Joey's recordings progress immensely with every album they put out, so I don't see a need to "use a different producer to switch things up".
Just my opinion. And no, I'm not starting another Sturgis shitstorm, just my honest opinions.

agreed. additionally... he totally went the distance with zombie as far as adding his signature "touch" of production creativity, not just the usual reverse vocal swells and guitar glitches... but... opera chorus breakdown?? love it. the opening track to zombie could have a blind person thinking they were watching the opening scene to jurassic park 6. chainsaws and gunshot samples and shit, bringing a theme to life like that is a pretty epic level of involvement.

PLUS- a big point as far as TDWP working with someone else is that craig with rise records and joey are like, totally co-dependent megabiffles last i was aware.

and FYI, I checked joeys calendar (it's not like it's a secret, it's linked at his myspace page), atleast he hasn't been booked with TDWP yet. His calendar said this:

- Silent Screams
- Color Morale
- Asking Alexandria
- The Air I Breathe
- Of Mice And Men
- We Came As Romans
- "Massachusetts"(?)
- Bury Tomorrow

and then from July 2011 he has 2 months off till September 2011.

Silent Screams is done (at leas tracking-wise), TCM just finished tracking drums for the last 7 songs, AA and TAIB are mix-only jobs, and I'm willing to bet Massachusetts is him in MA with TDWP and Adam D. I have no insider knowledge of anything of the sort, but based on the previous thread/recent tours, I'm willing to bet that's what's happening.

Adam D? That'd be sweet!
I loved how the first MCMB album came out with the Sturgis/Adam D combo!
