Another new TDWP album?

Didn't read this thread

They are recording with ADAM D, I will be visiting Adam's studio to help with stuff.
I am mainly helping with producing, and keys, and production sounds. Adam is doing everything else. I imagine someone else will mix and master it.

Joey's back!
lol
But that's exciting and disappointing at the same time. Adam D is great and all and love his stuff, but in my opinion hes much better as JUST a mixer (with the exception of the AILD album...)
But its what the band wants.... so I guess its cool.

zombie was the absolute perfect production for TDWP, IMO. both in style, writing, production, delivery, mix, master, everything. no room for improvement. it even broke the mold of that uniform sound the past albums had, since joey was obviously under fire for his 2008 habit of cookie cutter mixing... i think giving it to someone else is a bad idea. unless he influences the production enough, if they stray too far from the working formula they may end up with the album that gets the kids starting with the "meh... i don't like the new stuff." not that adam D isn't epic, i just think... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. until zombie i could see pulling in someone else being justified just to mix it up a little, but the newest mix/tone was the perfect balance of mixing it up and sticking to what works. again, in my humble rabid fanboy opinion.

Agreed. It seems like he's kind of breaking out of his shell a little bit, especially with the new We Came As Romans single (which, if I remember correctly, has no Slate samples.)
Joey- Do you know if it was a band decision or a label decision to go with Adam D?

I was under the impression that Adam D only ever makes stuff good when he's doing the whole project???

ofcourse, adam D is amazing, joey is just...practically a core/founding member of TDWP and definitely integral to their sound/gimmick. if adamD does a record with them itt'l certainly not be bad, just... probably a lot different, as he tends to take the complete opposite approach to production from what joey does...
(i.e norma jean - bless this martyr, claiming to be made "entirely live and without the use of computers").

and when a band like prada strays too far from the path yanno the kids never take it well, especially the kinda kids that swarm stadiums for some jesus-mosh. even if the end result is good, just a different flavor of good.

but i dunno, who knows, hopefully joey has enough influence over the whole project to get his usual mojo on there and then adam can add his strong points in a way that doesn't conflict.

"i am going to say the band is "the devil wears prada", they went on tour with killswitch, prob got to no adam d, and they are going to be due for a new album next year/prob early 2012. plus now with the success with the zombie ep, there new album is going to have to be boss.

prada sounds better and better everytime they release something and they are the biggest band joey has ever worked on (with the most success of the underground that is). So adding adam d to the next project is going to take them to the next level with is going to make it sound even more killer. That's my prediction... lol"

I can't wait for this one... it's going to be soo different, let's hope in a good way!

Zombie ep was epic, I wasn't a fan of wraabb. I'm hoping regardless of who produces this album they follow through with stylistic changes they made on zombie ep.

They said in an interview somewhere before Zombie came out that "This EP is a sampler of what is to come on our next full-length"

I don't understand why people love Adam D's mixing so much. I really don't find a lot of aspects that I like from his mixes. His productions are nice, but mixes are just kind of bleh.
